How many holes will we play?9 holes is the perfect amount of time to play, chat and reflect. If you feel like continuing your round, it may give you time and space to reflect on your session.

How many players will be in the group?This form of Counselling only work with you and me. We need to have some privacy during the round.

Where do we play?We will play at your home club.

Does the Counsellor play?Sure does, it is part of it. Lukas has been a member at Huntingdale and the National. He understands golf etiquette an how private clubs operate. He currently is playing off a handicap of 14.

What if I’m playing terrible and want to stop?No worries, you are in charge of the session and if you’re not feeling it, we can retire to the club house and continue our conversation.

What if I get upset on the course?Your Mental Health Caddy is there to support you, with tissues on hand, however he will be mindful of the topics that are discussed on the course.

What is appropriate to discuss on the course?Environment is everything, if your Mental Health Caddy feels that the conversation is better somewhere else, we will park it and take it up in a more appropriate place.

Can we do it in a cart?If your golf club will allow you to use one we can however a big part of behavioural activation is being physical and moving.

Do I need a Mental Health Plan or a referral?The short answer is no, you do not. Just shoot Lukas an email or contact him through the website for a free consultation.

Why don’t you offer Medicare rebates?Counsellors are not covered by the Medicare scheme at this time. Medicare covers Psychologists and Social Workers for a set number of sessions, you then pay the gap fee before seeking another referral. Lukas can provide ongoing support without the need for GP referrals.

I think I’m ok, do I need to see a Counsellor?The best time to work with someone is when things are going well and they are feeling good. Just like going to the driving range, if you want to tweak you swing and improve your putting you need to practice.

Are you qualified?Yes, Lukas has studied a Diploma and Bachelor of Counselling. Being a member if the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) Lukas is required to complete 10 hrs of clinical supervision and 25 points of professional development annually to retain his level 4 status (more than 100 hrs supervision and 1000 client contact hrs.
